AC Milan Tracking Alisson Veloso Ricardo

Despite the solid performances of Ignazio Abate, Milan are still looking to sign a new player in the right-back role.
When Leonardo was appointed AC Milan's new coach, he revealed that the contribution of the full-backs would be fundamental to his playing philosophy.

However, the hesitation on the transfer market by the club's hierarchy has forced him to count on the almost discarded Massimo Oddo and to convert midfielder Ignazio Abate into that particular role.

Abate's performance in the match against Bologna was very encouraging, prompting transfer guru Adriano Galliani to name him the 'new Cafu', but the Rossoneri have not given up on their hunt to sign a full-back.

Milan are looking for a player capable of providing defensive cover as well as coming forward. According to O Globo, the club are tracking Corinthians-owned right-back Alisson Veloso Ricardo.

The choice will probably have to be made between Ricardo and Schalke 04 star Rafinha, who has been linked with the Rossoneri for most of the summer.
