Toni offers himself to Milan

Luca Toni is desperate to end his time with Bayern Munich and return to Italy with Milan in the January transfer window.

Earlier this month, Toni gave an interview with German football magazine Kicker, intimating he no longer had a future in Bavaria.

The former Golden Boot winner has been relegated to Bayern Munich's second team who play in the Third Division.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Toni is now ready to offer himself to Milan with a view to a loan move in January.

He still hopes to go to the World Cup and feels he needs regular first team football to achieve his goal.

The 32-year-old was linked with Milan in 2007, but chose to join Bayern Munich instead out of respect for the wishes of Fiorentina, his former club.

Milan could be tempted into a move for Toni, but only if Marco Borriello continues to struggle for fitness and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar fails to settle.
